The clamps are just right. They can be adjusted and with the coverings they keep good pressure without too much pain. The pain that is experienced is what I was seeking and like that it can be adjusted.
I did think the chain between the two clamps was too long(went down to my belly button) and my partner easily changed that. However the reason he could easily change it was because the chain was very light and kinda flimsy.
